Days 7-8

Today, late in the afternoon we drive to Lake Tari. This is the biggest lake in this region, located on the Mongolian-Russian border. Researchers have proven that Lake Tari is one of a few key breeding habitats for the Relict Gull in the world. Other unique species present are the White-naped Crane, Swan Geese, Little Curlew, Madagascar Curlew, White Spoonbill, and the Great Cormorant. Some species, like the Caspian Tern, utilize this area in huge colonies.

The White-naped Crane and other crane species are more likely to be seen in this area.

Days 10-11
